apendectomy anyone?

So, uh... I was getting on with my normal day on tuesday. I had my daughter with me, cause daycare was closed. And around 9:30 am... i started having these cramps or pains in my belly. I didn't think too much of it... thought maybe i just had to go to the bathroom... if you know what i mean... so a couple hours later... and excruciating pain to accompany... I decide to call an ambulance to come pick me up.. cause i knew i wasn't drivin anywhere! so they get me and the emt on board was feelin my belly and assessing my pain and was like... "sounds like your appendix". I was like, say what, now? so after hours of being in crazy pain, doubled over... and 2 hrs of drinking a "banana flavored" toxic shake, to prep for a cat scan.... sure enough my appendix was about to blow! so off i go into surgery late tuesday evening, having never had any kind of major surgery before. so it was pretty scary, but everyone assured me that it would be neat and quick.
now... i'm finally at home, on pain killers, limping around like a pregnant woman.
can't drive for a week.
can't pick up my kids or anything for 2 weeks.
hopefully i can pick a pencil back up in a day or so... right now i'm just so out of it from the pain... and the drugs.

but, just wanted to let you guys know what's goin on with me.
